Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to program, set up, and operate Okuma CNC turning centers. You will produce high-precision components from blueprints while ensuring strict quality standards

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Okuma CNC turning centers and lathes.
  • Edit and optimize OSP control programs at the machine.
  • Select and install proper cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T symbols.
  • Inspect your own parts using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic daily preventative maintenance

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of CNC turning setup and operation experience.
  • Control Expertise: Proven experience with Okuma OSP controls is required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong blueprint reading and manual inspection skills.
  • Math Skills: Solid understanding of shop math and trigonometry.
  • Attributes: High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
