They are looking for a Red Seal Maintenance Millwright

To ensure through planned maintenance, vigilant inspections and expeditious repairs, the smooth uninterrupted and safe operation of the production plant in order to minimize production downtime.

Principal Accountabilities:

Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment or processes in order to facilitate production Maintain, repair and overhaul plant production equipment, building and grounds

Provide quick response to trouble calls by shift supervisors and or operators/technicians Assist Operating Engineers in maintenance of plant utilities

Perform Weekly Preventive Maintenance Walkthroughs / Inspections / and Repairs on production equipment as necessary Ability to put into Practice, corrective actions to effectively address reliability issues related to the above area

Participate in CQN’s RELIABILITY/PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE (PdM). Willing to become trained and proficient as a Reliability technician in the following areas: Airborne Ultrasound, Thermography and Oil/Fluid analysis

Additional Responsibilities:

Support projects include working on a project team in the design, installation and commissioning Maintain complete & accurate records of shift logs, maintenance inspections and meter readings Ensure smooth, efficient communication to the next team at shift changes

Actively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks Participate collaboratively in process improvement teams as required Any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Red Seal Millwright (Fully Licensed)

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold Must be able to read/write English

High School diploma or equivalent Ability to work overtime

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts At least 2 years of experience in production related work

Must be able to perform maintenance trades including rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Preferred:

Forklift certified

Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate (Additional $1.50/hour incentive) Basic computer skills

Able to perform maintenance trades including machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication

Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning) - Ability to work in elevated areas

Must be able to operate machinery

Must be able to operate heavy equipment

Plant employees typically follow a three-week rotating schedule:

• Week 1: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Week 2: Thursday–Friday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Week 3: Monday–Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

The pay is $50/ hour
