Skilled Plumber / Pipefitter

Job Duties:
- 
Provide full-cycle, in-depth knowledge and support for the profession of Pipefitter / Steamfitter to ensure that general and specific project requirements are met 
- 
Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks 
- 
Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, solder, assemble, and install metal, plastic and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings 
- 
Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position 
- 
Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks 
- 
Remove and replace worn components and do general maintenance work 
- 
Lay out and install piping, tubing, fittings, and all related components. 
- 
Install, test, and maintain low and high-pressure steam and condensate system 
- 
Repair piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals and other process piping systems, ncluding carbon steel and stainless steel 
Qualifications:
- 
Certified Red Seal Plumber / Pipfettier 
- 
10+ years of experience reading piping and instrumentation design diagrams 
- 
Experience rigging, hoisting, lifting, and positioning equipment 
- 
Oil/Gas Industry experience 
- 
Physical strength and stamina 
- 
Manual dexterity 
- 
Mechanical aptitude 
- 
The ability to read and understand complex instructions and drawings 
- 
Able to lift items weighing over 25 kilograms 
- 
Able to work in remote job locations 
- 
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test 
- 
Strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site 
- 
Aptitude fro safety 
- 
Strong communication skills 
- Must have own transportation and PPE gear
